“To improve a lost connection with nature and our own well-being.”
It’s the middle of winter, it’s cold, the sun has disappeared and we’re locked down without the warmth of humans and pubs with fires. How could we not be sad? Getting outside in nature is keeping me sane and positive right now and I never thought I’d have to rely on it so much.
Since moving to Cornwall, I have been fortunate enough to cross paths with some very inspiring people. One person in particular is a passionate and driven lovely lady called Katy Griffin...
Katy is the founder of Thera-Sea, an off-grid rewilding retreat in rural Cornwall focusing on lifestyle medicine and stress management through outdoor workshops and activities.
I worked closely with Katy during the summer of 2019 to create digital content for Thera-Sea including posters, brochures and a crowdfund film. Having witnessed the benefits of a Thera-Sea retreat in person, this crucial time in nature really does wonders for our overall well-being.
Once I went back to Bristol for my final year of my degree, Katy kindly let me base a project on Thera-Sea. I created this publication to try and help educate and inform others about possible alternative treatments to mental health support.
Featuring really beautiful photography by Tom Young, informative words by Katy Griffin, adventures by Four Elements Adventure & delicious fresh grub by The Aussie Smoker.
