I really enjoy experimenting with a range of creative processes to come up with innovative approaches to design. For this editorial piece, I scanned in one of my ocean resin art paintings and used it for the aesthetic of the booklet which focuses on the subject of water. This was one of my favourite collaborations of art and design simply because I’m most passionate about water and the many visual elements it can create.
Inside the booklet features the 'Still Water (The River Thames) 1999 Series' by artist Roni Horn. This series consists of fifteen large Photo-Lithographs of small parts of the surface of the River Thames. Each image varies dramatically depending on the light and movement of the water. Tiny numbers and footnotes also appear on the images with musings and quotations reflecting on the mood of the River at that specific time when the image was taken.
